Art, Curiosity and Connection: The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria Inspires Discovery

The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria sits on the unceded and traditional territories of the Ləkʷəŋən peoples, today known as the Xʷsepsəm and Songhees Nations. We extend our appreciation for the opportunity to live and learn on this territory.
For more than three-quarters of a century, the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria has been a place to experience art, spark curiosity and connect through creativity.
Through exhibitions exploring history, identity, culture and contemporary ideas, the AGGV creates opportunities for discovery, reflection and conversation. Beyond its exhibitions, the Gallery brings art into the community through school programs, youth initiatives, studio classes, Family Sundays and the beloved Art Gallery Paint-In.
The Gallery is committed to welcoming more people through its doors. Free admission for visitors 25 and under and free Thursday evenings invite new audiences to experience the Gallery and discover the transformative power of art.
The AGGV is also home to one of B.C.’s most significant public art collections, with more than 22,000 works spanning cultures, histories and artistic traditions.
Visitors can experience selections from the collection through A View From Here: Reimagining the AGGV Collections, alongside a changing lineup of temporary exhibitions and public programs.
