It invites us to explore meaningful questions about identity, equity, belonging, and social justice. Presented in partnership with the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria.
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee – November 7-23
Get ready to laugh, cheer, and spell your heart out as six quirky adolescents compete for the coveted title of spelling champion in the Broadway musical that has captivated audiences worldwide. This fast-paced gem is directed and choreographed by guest Jacques Lemay. Music and lyrics by William Finn, book by Rachel Sheinkin and created by Rebecca Feldman. Presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
The Killing Game – February 13-22
Step into the surreal world of Eugène Ionesco’s absurdist comedy, where a town faces a deadly plague. As the body count rises, the community spirals into a chaotic blend of paranoia, hypocrisy, and opportunism. With razor-sharp wit and keen satire, the line between reality and absurdity blurs. Directed by Conrad Alexandrowicz.
Twelfth Night – March 13-22
William Shakespeare’s timeless comedy is full of romantic entanglements, mischievous pranks, mistaken identities, and hilarious misunderstandings. Directed by Fran Gebhard, it explores love’s transformative power and the delightful chaos of reality and illusion.
Special Presentation: Eyes of the Beast – September 16-21
Presented by Vancouver’s Neworld Theatre and adapted from the award-winning journalism of the University of Victoria’s Climate Disaster Project, this powerful production weaves together hundreds of testimonies from Canadians who have lived through the realities of climate change.
