Performing under the masterful direction of our musical directors Yariv Aloni (Orchestra) and Nicholas Fairbank (Chorus) we welcome you to come and share with us as we perform works by Beethoven, Scriabin, Weber, Schumann and others!
Our Fall Concert will be held November 2nd in the Sooke Community Hall, and will feature Scriabin’s First Piano Concerto performed by Leah MacFarlane, winner of the 2025 Jenny and Norman Nelson Concerto Competitions for Young Musicians; as well as Beethoven’s incomparable Fifth Symphony!
The Christmas concert will be on Sunday December 7th in the Sooke Community Hall, featuring our Chorus singing Beethoven’s Amazing Choral Fantasy, and other seasonal works for your listening pleasure, and maybe some ‘singing along’ as well.
The season continues with our famous Tea & Symphony on the afternoon of February 15th 2026, and another choral concert on March 22nd.
Our Spring concert on April 12th will feature Matty Angus playing the Weber Clarinet Concerto #1, (also a winner of the Jenny and Norman Nelson Concerto Competitions.)
Our season wraps up on July 5th with the Sooke Philharmonic Fling outdoor concert in Ed MacGregor Park in Sooke, and will be conducted by David Stewart.
The Sooke Philharmonic was founded over 26 years ago by Maestro Norman Nelson and enthusiastically continues to entertain our audiences with a great variety of musical experiences and outstanding musicianship by all participants.
Our Choral concerts this season will feature works composed by our Choral Conductor, Nicholas Fairbank! Brand new music to expand our horizons, and brighten your day!
